“Mental health” isn’t sexy, but taking care of yourself is.
Make your self-care a priority. All the cool kids are doing it.
You’re worth the time, money, energy and effort spent in therapy.
Therapy will help you clarify your goals and teach you how to get there. You’re worth the hard conversations and the babysitter and the extra hour you might have to work at your job.

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing. I am certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and trained in EMDR, both evidence-based treatments for trauma.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both individuals and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
The onset of the Coronavirus in March 2020 impacted our lives suddenly! Change was forced upon us, and we had no choice but to adapt. While everyone has been impacted differently, we’ve all endured stressful transitions. Social distancing from home brought with it new challenges and responses. We believe in our community members’ inherent ability to persevere AND seek help when needed!
COVID-19 forced us to suddenly change the way we worked, parented, shopped, and had fun. All of this created an increase in stress and anxiety, even for those who were not before experiencing it. Many feared that they or their loved ones would get sick, and many dealt with job loss and financial strain. On top of that, the uncertainty of the pandemic and when it would end also created more anxiety.
Grief is one emotion that may have caught us by surprise. Many grieved the loss of their usual activities, as well as celebrating holidays together. You may have grieved milestones or activities that never happened. These may include: vacations, graduations, birthday parties, and more. Those who lost loved ones during this time may not have been able to access the usual support. Many have experienced grief and loss from not being able to see, touch, or hug the people they love.
For some, the uncertainty of the coronavirus outbreak triggered old feelings of chaos and fear from past traumas. Feeling “out of control” during the pandemic caused some to recall times in their life when they also felt a loss of control. For others, COVID-19 created new traumas as essential workers were required to work, despite risks. Healthcare workers and family members bore witness to others’ deaths or near-death encounters.
Some people have questioned if they’re “going crazy," knowing that what they’ve been experiencing isn’t usual. Please know that you are not going crazy. You are having normal responses to a very unusual circumstance. You’re human, and it’s OK to get help! We’ve been helping navigate new anxiety, relationship stressors, and grief and loss during COVID-19. We’ve helped re-establish normalcy that help improve physical and emotional well-being. With online therapy, professional help is still available even while social distancing.
